2023 Annual Golf Outing Scramble Fundraiser
2023 End of Event Details
This years annual 18 hole golf outing foursome scramble fundraiser had a total of 120 golfers, 40 local business sponsors & 21 volunteers in attendance at Tamer Win Golf & Country Club in Cortland, Ohio on 8/26/2023. All team entry fees included the round of golf, door prizes, breakfast, lunch, dinner, unlimited beverages, and team raffle tickets. The teams enjoyed a 5.5 hour round of golf with a warm breeze, spurts of sunshine, and temperatures in the high 70's.
"We know golf outings are very popular in this area. We are looking to set the bar for not only what we are able to do with the funds that we raise from the event but what we are able to do for the golfers that participate in the event."

Day of Fundraising
Through donations on Hole games #1, #5, #10 & #15 plus Jell-O Shots, & raffle tickets, One Step Ahead Ohio was able to raise a total of $3740 from the 120 participating golfers. 100% of these donations will go towards supporting the two core initiatives as mission statement.
Sponsorships
The four levels of sponsorship this year consisted of 1 Platinum, 9 Gold & 23 Bronze. These local business sponsorships came in the form of food donations, raffle item donations as well as flat monetary donations. The monetary sponsorships totaled $11,000. Just like the day of fundraising from the golfers, 100% of these sponsorships donations will go towards supporting our core initiatives and growing our mission statement.
2022 Annual Golf Outing Scramble Fundraiser
End of Event Details
This years annual 18 hole golf outing scramble fundraiser had a total of 112 golfers, 39 local business sponsors & 13 volunteers in attendance at Tamer Win Golf & Country Club in Cortland, Ohio on 9/10/2022. All team entry fees included the round of golf, door prizes, breakfast, lunch, dinner, unlimited beverages, all raffle tickets & the "Orange Ball" raffle game. The teams enjoyed a 4.5 hour round of golf with a warm breeze, spurts of sunshine, and temperatures in the high 70's. Congratulations to teams 2B & 18B with a tie scorecard of 58 . Team 2B took home 1st place on their tie breaking birdy on hole #12.
OSAO was able to provide raffle prizes for the golfers such as foursomes to Tippecanoe Country Club, Trumbull Country Club, and Yankee Run as well as gift cards, range finders, divot tools, golf brushes, golf balls and golf hats. The monetary amount given away to the golfers for 50/50 splits, 3 closest to the pin awards, 4 longest drive awards and 1st-3rd place winners totaled $1650.
Day of Fundraising
Through donations on Hole #5 "double your money", Hole #10 "guess the total tee 50/50", Hole #15"cornhole tee box advancement", $3 Jell-O Shots, & 50/50 ticket sales, One Step Ahead Ohio was able to raise a total of $3,815 from the 116 participating golfers. 100% of these donations will go towards growing the two core initiatives and supporting our mission statement across Northeast Ohio.
Sponsorships
The three levels of sponsorship this year consisted of 8 Gold, 7 Silver & 24 Bronze. These local business sponsorships came in the form of raffle item donations as well as flat monetary donations. The monetary sponsorships totaled $8,100. Just like the day of fundraising from the golfers, 100% of these sponsorships donations will go towards supporting out three core initiatives and growing our mission statement. Also, a thank you to Ohio Insurance Marketplace Solutions & Progressive Insurance for donating a Masterbuilt electric pellet smoker that had the specific raffle ticket included at no cost to the golfers!
This Heroes for Hardship collaboration donation comes from money raised on hole #5 & #15. The SJPIII Memorial Fund has decided to donate the money raised from their fundraiser hole #5, “double your money par 3”, back into their local community of Girard, Ohio. The second part of the donation comes from funds raised for breast cancer awareness & support on the “cornhole advancement” at hole #15.
A donation of $1500 will be made to Lorraine, a lifelong Northeast Ohio resident, as she begins her fight against breast cancer. This money will go directly towards offsetting travel expenses for unforeseen medical treatment as well as offsetting a small portion of the out-of-pocket medical expenses that her health insurance will not cover.
One Step Ahead Ohio partnered with Bristol High School in Bristolville, Ohio as a $750 Gold Sponsor for their 2022 golf & cornhole tournament fundraising event on 9/24/2022. All proceeds raised at this event went towards the high school golf team as well as the girls & boys basketball programs.
2021 Golf Outing Scramble Fundraiser
The 2021 golf outing fundraiser is in the books and the overwhelming feedback was nothing but positivity from the participating golfers.
We were able to raise $3,498 through 50/50 ticket sales, raffle ticket sales & skill game participation during the event. These funds will directly grow our Trade School Scholarship & Development Fund, Heroes for Hardship initiative and our P.A.K. program.
The success of this event would not of been possible without the local businesses donating through hole sponsorships and the 80 plus participating golfers. Shout out to Penguin City Beer and DOPE Cider House & Winery for hanging with us in the heat as hole vendors.
